Beit Al Ajami is a historic residence in Damascus, restored with a deep respect for its architectural character and cultural heritage. Following the restoration, the interior was approached as a study in layering, bringing together existing pieces with carefully sourced furniture, textiles and objects from the local markets of Damascus.

The interiors balance the richness of Syrian craftsmanship with a calm and contemporary sensibility. Each piece was selected for its character, history and connection to place, creating spaces that feel collected rather than designed.

The project celebrates the relationship between architecture, objects and everyday life. Existing furniture was thoughtfully rearranged alongside newly sourced pieces, allowing the original character of the house to remain at the centre while introducing a renewed sense of warmth and identity.

The project was featured as the digital cover of Architectural Digest Middle East and in the September 2026 print issue.
